    Some - I don't say who - counters every criticism of Putin-inspired reactionary, illiberal, antidemocratic, imperialistic, genocidic and corrupt regimes with a "Whatabout The West, Whatabout the liberals".

    There is this to say: I'm against all those crimes, regardlessofthe name and location of the perpetrator.

    In the US, even there, there are potential allies.
