Cryptography in firmware (07/11/15 20:58:14)
    I've been reading and not understanding about Snowden revelations that some ahrdware with builtin cryptography have the same cryptographic key. So if it is broken in one of a series, the entire series is compromised.

    Snowden was not the first, but I think he has been by far the most important.

    I remember the DVD protection breaking: It was opened because of a faulty implementation somewhere - Xing - I had forgotten, but it did come back (not yet complete dementia).
